Abstract

The research aims to determine the influence of application simulation based learning toward understanding of fairy tale for children with hearing impairment in third grade at SLB-B YRTRW Surakarta 2016/2017 academic year. This research uses a quantitative approach to research methods of experimental type of pre-experimental form one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek in this research were students in third grade at SLB-B YRTRW Surakarta 2016/2017 academic year as many as four students. Data collection techniques in this research is an objective test in multiple choice. Data analysis techniques in this research is the analysis of non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank test (Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test) using SPSS versi 22. From the result of calculations using SPSS versi 22, the known value of the average posttest research sample increased. Descriptive analysis result obtained by the average value of 77,5 posttest greater than the value pretest 57,5. Non-parametric analysis result obtained count value Z= -2,000 with Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,046 at significance level (α) of 5%. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that effect of application simulation based learning is positive toward understanding of fairy tale for children with hearing impairment in third grade at SLB-B YRTRW Surakarta 2016/2017 academic year.

Abstract

Eskalasi atau peningkatan usaha konveksi kaos dan seragam kerja sangat penting dilakukan dengan strategi peningkatan kualitas produk, layanan konsumen dan perluasan jaringan pemasaran mengingat persaingan yang ketat di usaha konveksi, apalagi usaha ini dilakukan oleh para penyandang disabilitas yang sampai saat ini mengalami stigma miring terhadap keberadaan dan kemampuan mereka. Dalam pengabdian pada masyarakat IbM ini, kualitas produk dapat meningkat melalui pelatihan desain kaos. Layanan terhadap pelanggan dapat meningkat melalui pelatihan layanan. Untuk menjangkau semua segmen pasar, wirausaha difabel mempunyai keterbatasan mobilitas, sehingga yang sangat dipentingkan adalah strategi perluasan jaringan pemasaran tanpa mobilitas, yaitu menggunakan e-comerce. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah terdapat peningkatan dari segi pengetahuan mitra dalam membuat desain kaos, layanan konsumen dan e-commerce. Keterampilan mitra juga meningkat dalam menggunakan laptop, printer, mesin jahit dan mesin bordir serta terdapat peningkatan omzet atau pendapatan mitra pengabdian setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini.

Abstract

This research aims to identify condition of inclusive school in Solo especially for handicapped children. This is a qualitative research. Focuses of this research are first, the accessibility of inclusive school and second, identifying ideal inclusive school for handicapped children. it is located in two schools namely at Al Firdaus High School of Sukoharjo and Brumantakan Elementary School Solo. Method to collect data is observation, interview, and documentation. Conclusion drawn from this research is accessibility of inclusive school for handicapped children is not fulfilled completely. There is still barrier in completing condition of good and proper accessibility in inclusive school.

Abstract

Partisipasi politik bukan hanya soal pemilu (turn out voter), namun pengertian lebih luas sebagai keterlibatan dalam perubahan kebijakan. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menemukan peta partisipasi politik kelompok difabel dalam 5 bentuk; pemilu, organisasi, contacting, lobby dan violance. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memetakan pola partisipasi kelompok difabel agar nantinya dapat digunakan basis penguatan kapasitas untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan survei di 2 kota di Jawa Timur, yaitu di Kota Malang dan Kota Mojokerto. Survei dilakukan dengan mengambil sampling 56 responden di semua kota. Dari Penelitian ini disimpulkan ada berbedaan antara kesadaran dan tindakan dalam partisipasi politik kelompok difabel. Selain itu partisipasi politik kelompok difabel masih sangat terbatas sehingga tidak mampu mempengaruhi kebijakan publik.

Abstract

The government guarantees the absence of a difference for all Indonesian citizens to get education in higher education. Educational needs for every disability is different. Suppose the deaf students, to communicate highly dependent on writing and sign language. From the field observations problems found sign language that is used has a lot of variations, especially for scientific terms such as for example: cell, engineering, photosynthesis and others. This causes the communication becomes slower so that deaf students have difficulty understanding the material taught in the lectures. For that we need to make a media in the form of software to save the new terms as well as sign language. The media should also be accessible though many people (online). This way, if someone is having difficulty in finding a cue for a term, he can look for it on this media. From the results of tests performed, the application is able to enhance the understanding of the time three seconds faster than before using the app. On the usability and user acceptance testing, the application has largely met the expectations of the user.

Abstract

In this study, the author is very attentive to law for disability. In 2016, the Indonesian government has been launched a recovering law for persons with disabilities, namely Law No. 8 Year 2016. Differ with the previous law, Law No. 4 Year 1997 which still less contains the rights of persons with disabilities, especially on the things of public services accessibility. Hence, regarding to the normative analysis toward Law No. 8 Year 2016 which is used in this study. It found that the Indonesian government is already loaded the persons with disabilities right on public services accessibility. Those listed in Chapter III, Part 15 article 19 on Public Service Rights. Therefore, the development of public service facility for persons with disabilities shall be appropriate to this law. Furthermore, the details of public service in terms of implementation of respect, protection and rights meeting with disabilities are initiated by both central and local governments. All public services in Indonesia should be take attention to the Law No. 8 Year 2016 on Persons with Disabilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the availability and accessibility level of parking facility and lift for difable in Surakarta, especially in the shopping centre. The objects of this study was five shopping centres in Surakarta. The research method that used is evaluation approaches, that assess the extent of an object has been achieved in accordance with the standards of Regulation of the Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Indonesia Number 30 Year 2006 on Technical Guidelines amenities and accessibility In the Building and Environment. Data were analyzed using statistical descriptions by comparing field data with the standard provisions. The results showed that there is no accessible parking lot for difable and on average, as many as 54, 2% lift is accessible and one shopping centre has reached the 73% accesibility lever for the lift. The shopping centre is the right to acquire accessibility in public spaces for difable, it needs to be upgraded and the addition other facilities.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the use of adobe flash based multimedia towards the increase of thematic learning achievement of five 5th graders with light intellectual disability in SLB Negeri Surakarta, academic year 2016/2017.This research using quantitative approach with One-group pretest-posttest design pre-experimental design. The subjects involved in this research were five 5th graders with light intellectual disability in SLB Negeri Surakarta. Data is colleted using a multiple choice objective tests. Data analyzed using non-parametric statistics through Wilcoxon Sign Rank test with the help of a software namely SPSS 23. Based on the analysis of descriptive data obtained the average score as much as 52.00 in the pretest and 82.00 in the posttest.The non-parametric statistics results of Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test note that the value of Z values = -2.041 with Asymp Sig (2-tailed) = 0,041 is smaller than a predetermined significance level or 0.041 < 0.05, so the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is accepted. Based on the analysis result of this research we can conclude that the use of adobe flash based interactive multimedia affect the achievement of thematic learning towards five 5th graders with light intellectual disability in SLB Negeri Surakarta academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

Mahasiswa Tunarungu menghadapi kesulitan penguasaan bahasa, khususnya memahami leksem yang berkonsep Abstrak dan Emosi. Hal ini dikarenakan tunarungu sangat mengandalkan referent (acuan) dalam memahami makna kata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) bagaimanakah tingkat pemahaman tunarungu terhadap leksem yang berkonsep emosi dan abstrak, (2) Apakah latar belakang pendidikan mahasiswa tunarungu (SMA atau SMA LB) berperan dalam membentuk pemahaman arti abstrak dan emosi? Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengadakan tes tertulis yang berisikan soal leksem berkonsep abstrak dan emosi dengan acuan dan tanpa acuan (gambar). Analisis dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan dua hal, yaitu pemahaman tunarungu terhadap arti leksem dan ketepatan konteks penggunaan leksem dalam kalimat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kata abstrak acuan tidak terlalu berpengaruh pada pemahaman tunarungu, sedangkan pada leksem emosi acuan berpengaruh dalam membantu tunarungu memahami makna leksem.

Abstract

Access to employment is essential for every persons including persons with disabilities. If a meaningful work is enormously important, how does an equality framework advance this in securing access to the labour market? This paper will examine the way in which work is significant for persons with disabilities as a pathway towards social inclusion. It is apparantly drawn from the concept of dignity, equality and human rights. Accordingly, a substantive equality approach provides a powerful endowment to the fulfilment of the right to work of persons with disability.
